About

KT Conditioning is a Strength & Conditioning / Sport Consultancy training service run by UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach Kevin Till.

Kevin has always had a strong passion for sport and fitness and following his A-levels decided to study for a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University for 3 years. After successful completion of his degree, Kevin was selected to undertake a MSc in Sport & Exercise Science at Leeds Met whilst completing a year long internship placement at Leeds United FC working as fitness coach for the football club’s academy (Under 8s – 18s). During this time Kevin developed the practical skills to work within professional sport, strength and conditioning and sport science.

After completion of his MSc and internship placement, Kevin began to apply his knowledge, skills and experience working in part time roles within Rugby League (Castleford Tigers RLFC), Cricket (Yorkshire CCC) and Tennis (Carnegie Tennis Centre). In January 2007, Kevin obtained a PhD studentship from Leeds Met University and started to combine his research work alongside the practical application of strength and conditioning. In July 2008, Kevin became the head of strength and conditioning at Castleford Tigers RLFC, a role in which he undertook for over 3 years. During this time Kevin continued to study his PhD on a part time basis, which was completed in June 2011. Kevin’s research has been published in a number of articles in international journals (including a recent book chapter in ‘Talent Identification and Development in Sport: International Perspectives‘) and has been presented at national and international conferences.

During the last 8 years, Kevin has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience within strength and conditioning, sport science and research and how this can be applied effectively to improve performance. Kevin is also a UKSCA accredited strength and conditioning coach and is therefore qualified and competent to design and deliver strength and conditioning practices within the UK.
